WOC 2011 selected for International Buyer Program

Sixth year for international event status.


World of ConcreteWorld of Concrete 2011, January 18-21; Seminars 17-21 in Las Vegas, is booking exhibit space at a brisk pace. Outpacing WOC 2010 space assignment, WOC 2011 signifies another positive sign that the economy has turned the corner toward recovery.

 

In fact, ABC News recently reported that the non-residential construction industry gained 9,200 jobs in April, according to the May 7 employment report by the U.S. Labor Department. In the past two months, non-residential construction employment has grown by 21,500 jobs.

WOC 2011 will once again feature special product and action areas including The Producer Center, a dedicated marketplace of materials, equipment, demonstrations, and seminars; Material Handling, offering trucks, excavators; Concrete Repair and Demolition, featuring surface preparation products & equipment; World of Masonry, showcasing a full range of products, tools, information, and technology for masonry professionals; and Technology for Construction, featuring the latest products and technologies for the commercial construction industry.

For the sixth consecutive year, World of Concrete has been selected by the U.S. Department of Commerce as an International Buyer Program (IBP) event. U.S. embassies, consulates, and commercial centers worldwide will promote WOC and organize delegations comprised of international buyers, agents, and distributors. Special workshops and programs will be held in conjunction with the IBC including the SHOWTIME Program which will conduct meetings allowing participating companies the opportunity to meet one-on-one with U.S. Embassy Commercial Building Products and Equipment Specialists at the Show.

In addition the IBP will offer:
International Business Center
The International Business Center is staffed with interpreters fluent in languages including
Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French and German.
 

Export / Import Counseling
Trade Specialist from a Commercial Service Office and an Industry Specialist will be available during the show to answer questions and provide export counseling to WOC 2011 Exhibitors. Assistance is also available to international buyers to help meet purchasing and representation objectives during the show.

Export Interest Directory
An Export Interest Directory, featuring information on export interests of U.S. exhibitors including company information, products and geographical areas of interest will be available onsite.

The 2011 WOC Education Program will boast tracks with more than 50% brand-new topics including sessions in Concrete Fundamentals, Concrete Production, Concrete Repair, Decorative Concrete, Residential, Green Building, Safety & Risk Management, Technical Updates, and much more.

Additionally WOC provides Certification and continuing education hours to get the training
you need while discovering all that the show has to offer.

The Outdoor Events and Demonstration Areas will feature hundreds of outdoor exhibitors, new product demonstrations, competitive challenges and cutting edge equipment and technologies.
