In his new position, Bigwood is responsible for North American sales operations, which includes identifying new market segments and applications, building a sales team, and developing new relationships with dealers and distributors. He will be attending the Association of Equipment Dealers (AED) summit in January 2011, with the goal of establishing new dealer and distributor partnerships.

Bigwood has more than 25 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining Flip Screen, he worked at Atlas Copco Construction Tools, LLC where he served as president for 16 years. Earlier in his career, he was president of Smalley Excavators Inc., a national distributor for a UK-based specialty excavator manufacturer.

Flip Screen screening buckets mount onto excavators (up to 40 metric tons), front-end loaders, backhoes and skid steers. Integrated hydraulic motors rotate the bucket on a horizontal axis continuously through 360 degrees, while an easily interchangeable high-tensile mesh screen allows sizeable material through. A baffle retains larger material so that it may be dumped separately.Flip Screen founder Sam Turnbull feels Bigwood will be a tremendous asset, and help to grow and strengthen the U.S. market. "We see the U.S. as a huge potential market for our products and, up until now, we have had little or no presence here,” he said. “Bringing in someone like Peter is part of our overall strategic plan to expand in key markets around the world, and develop a solid platform for further growth."

Bigwood is looking forward to building a solid North American team that will successfully promote Flip Screen. "I am delighted to be joining Sam's group,” he said. “It is rare to find a unique, patented product line launched and so readily adopted around the world, especially given these tough economic conditions. I think that bodes well for our future success here." Bigwood will be based in Northampton, MA where he currently resides.
