New Hiring Rules to Hit Government Contractors

Rules to cover both disabled workers hired and job applicants.


Government contractors will need to provide documentation on the number of disabled workers that they hire and the number of disabled workers that they receive applications from. The rules mean contractors will need to ask every applicant to fill out an additional disclosure form, according to professional recruiter Derek Zeller.

The rules are changing March 24, 2014, and talent acquisition professionals working with companies who have contracts with the federal government must be prepared.
