Panasonic Names Dan Silver President of Eco Solutions
Will also lead air conditioning division.
Panasonic Corporation of North America has announced that Dan Silver has been appointed President of Panasonic Eco Solutions North America and will concurrently serve as President of Panasonic Appliances Air-Conditioning North America.
Under Mr. Silver’s leadership, Panasonic Eco Solutions will focus its activities on the marketing and sales of electrical construction and eco-responsible products, including vent fans, lighting control systems and cordless assembly tools, serving the commercial, government, factory and residential sectors.
In addition, Mr. Silver will lead Panasonic Appliances Air-Conditioning North America, which in conjunction with ventilation products, positions Panasonic as the leading innovator in indoor air quality solutions.
“Dan’s appointment is well-deserved and reflects his dedication, an ability to establish strong relationships with our customers and a skill for managing a wide range of product lines in a very competitive industry,” said Joseph M. Taylor, Chairman and CEO of Panasonic Corporation of North America. “His new role is also an essential step for us as we work towards creating a stronger foundation for growth in the building industry.”
An employee of Panasonic for 29 years, Mr. Silver has held a succession of leadership positions with the company. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Amherst College and a Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins in International Relations. Mr. Silver studied and taught in Japan and is fluent in Japanese.
He resides in Essex Country, NJ with his wife and children.
