Jim McCann is named president and CEO of McCann Industries
Dennis Kruepke becomes Chairman of the Board.
McCann Industries, Inc. is proud to announce that Jim McCann has been named chief executive officer of the company as of January 1, 2015. Dennis Kruepke is the former chief executive officer and will assume the role of chairman of the board.
The ownership of the company has also changed through a stock purchase agreement, and McCann now owns 100% of the company.
“We are all pleased that Jim has assumed this expanded role in the company,” says Kruepke. “Everything that had been outlined in the succession plan for McCann Industries is coming together exactly as outlined. Jim understands our customers and our products very well and has excelled in every position he's held. McCann Industries will continue to thrive under his leadership.”
McCann began working with the company as an outside sales representative in 1991 and has assumed progressively more responsibility over the past twenty- four years. Before he was named president in 2013, Jim served as vice president of sales and marketing for thirteen years.
He first began working for McCann Industries in 1991 as an outside sales representative and was promoted to rental manager in 1997. Two years later, he became sales manager, and within one year was designated as vice president, sales and marketing.
Born and raised in the Chicago area, McCann earned a B.S. degree in economics and history from Albion College and an M.B.A. from The Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University.
He is on the board of directors of the Concrete Contractors Association of Greater Chicago and served as president of Associated Construction Distributors International.
McCann is also a member of several other industry organizations, including Associated Equipment Distributors, Illinois Road & Transportation Builders Association, Underground Contractors Association, Concrete Contractors Association of Greater Chicago, International Concrete Repair Institute, American Public Works Association, and the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association.
