Sphere 1 announces top award winners at 16th annual meeting

Sphere 1, a cooperative of independent tool, fastener, and concrete accessory distributors, held their annual membership meeting May 5-7, 2015 at Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas.
The meeting theme “Built by Design” echoed throughout the entire conference as Bob Borrhello, retiring Sphere 1 founding Board Chairman for 16 years, passed the gavel to newly elected Board Chairman, George Morgan of Kentec.
Highlights of the meeting were the cooperative's Distributor and Vendor Partner of the Year awards.
Vendor Partners of the Year
“Sphere 1 Vendor Partners of the Year are the highest Vendor awards given at our annual meeting.," said Carol Shackelford, CEO of Sphere 1. "Vendors of the Year have the best overall score on the Sphere 1 Annual Support Card which ranks all 94 vendors on 6 individual criteria important to the success and growth of the Cooperative.”

Supplier of the Year
Stanley Black & Decker was awarded Supplier of the Year for 16 consecutive years for achieving the Highest Sales Volume in 2014. SB&D also received top honors for the most Sphere 1 University on-line completed courses and Gateway for Growth planning programs.

Top Preferred Supplier Brand
Hitachi received the Supplier Brand Recognition Award for Outstanding Sales Achievement by Brand for the third consecutive year.
