Harrington Hoists promotes key leaders

Carlo Lonardi is new president, Ned Hunter becomes EVP; four more company veterans move up.


Harrington Hoists, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Carlo Lonardi to President of Harrington Hoists, Inc. and President and CEO of Kito Americas, Inc.Harrington Hoists, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Carlo Lonardi to President of Harrington Hoists, Inc. and President and CEO of Kito Americas, Inc., effective immediately. In this new role, Lonardi will take on the leadership and responsibility for four Kito Group Companies including: Harrington Hoists, Inc., Peerless Industrial Group, Kito Canada, Inc. and Kito Do Brasil.

These America companies constitute the largest division within the Kito Group companies. Lonardi was also named Executive Officer of Harrington’s parent company KITO Corporation of Japan.

Lonardi has been a successful, valuable leader for Harrington Hoists, Inc. and for its customers. His energy and passion for customer satisfaction have been key elements in the company’s continued growth.

He began his career with Harrington Hoists, Inc. as the Eastern Division Sales Manager in 1997. He was later named VP of Sales & Marketing and most recently he held the position of COO with the company.

Carlo holds a B.S. degree in Business Management from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  

Edward (Ned) Hunter will take on the role of Executive Vice President and Senior Executive Officer of Harrington’s parent company, KITO Corporation, effective April 1, 2016.Edward (Ned) Hunter will take on the role of Executive Vice President and Senior Executive Officer of Harrington’s parent company, KITO Corporation, effective April 1, 2016. As second-in-command at KITO Corporation, Hunter will lead eleven of KITO’s fourteen operating subsidiaries. China, Korea, and Taiwan will remain a separate division.

Hunter will also remain chairman of the Kito Americas, Inc. subsidiary. Hunter is the first individual from outside of Japan to serve in this position for the Tokyo based hoist & chain manufacturer.    

Hunter joined Harrington Hoists, Inc. as President and CEO in 2004. He was later named President and CEO of Kito Americas, Inc. where he added the infrastructure necessary to serve the company’s customers in North, South and Central America. In addition, Hunter has served as the leader of the EMEAOR region for four years. Hunter holds a B.B.A. in Economics from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA.     

Harrington Hoists has also announced the promotion of four top executives.

Yoshio Morita was promoted to executive officer of Kito Corporation and chief administrative officer (CAO) of Kito Americas, Inc. In this position, Morita will expand his executive role in development and strategic planning on a global basis.

Morita transferred from Kito Corporation in Japan to the Harrington Hoists, Inc. headquarters in Manheim PA in 2008 as VP of administration. He was later promoted to CAO for the company and most recently served Harrington Hoists, Inc. as vice president of administration. Yoshio holds a LLB from Nihon University, Tokyo, Japan.

Marc Premont has been named executive officer of Kito Corporation, chief operating officer of Kito Americas, Inc. and president of Kito Canada, Inc. Premont will now provide senior leadership in all aspects of operations of the four Kito Americas companies which include Harrington Hoists, Inc., Peerless Industrial Group, Kito Canada, Inc. and Kito do Brasil.

Premont began at Kito Canada, Inc. in 1993 as a regional sales representative and was promoted to marketing manager in 1996. With a proven track record, Premont was later promoted to VP and then to president of Kito Canada, Inc.  His dedication and leadership have greatly contributed to the growth of the Canada based company and he will now be instrumental in optimizing business performance across their company.

Premont graduated from Capliano University, British Columbia Institute of Technology and holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University.

Bret Lussow was promoted to executive vice president of business development of Kito Americas, Inc.  In this position, Lussow will expand his executive role into the four companies of Kito Americas, Inc. He will also serve on the Harrington Hoists, Inc. Board of Directors.

Lussow joined Harrington Hoists, Inc. in 1998 as a sales representative and was later promoted to regional sales manager. He most recently served Harrington Hoists, Inc. as vice president of business development where he headed business development, marketing, engineering and customer service for the company. Bret will continue to focus on customer service and sales growth for all Kito Americas companies. Lussow earned a BS degree in marketing and communications from Northern Michigan University.

Mark Snavely was promoted from vice president of finance for Harrington Hoists, Inc. to chief financial officer of Kito Americas, Inc., effective April 1, 2016. Snavely will expand his focus on financial planning, consolidated financials, strengthening economic strategies and forecasting for all of the Kito Americas companies.

Snavely was hired as controller for Harrington Hoists, Inc. in 2005 and was named VP of finance for the company in 2013. He graduated from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania with a BSBA in accounting and earned an MBA in finance from The Pennsylvania State University.
