More than 1,200 specialty contractor companies now rely on Procore to manage their business

Industry leaders such as ABLe Communications and Green Mechanical utilize Procore.

Procore Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of construction management software, today announced it has nearly doubled the number of specialty contractor customers, often referred to as subcontractors, on the Procore platform within the past 12 months.

Procore's commitment to providing solutions that support the needs of everyone in construction has yielded strong adoption rates among specialty contractor customers.

Today, more than 1,200 specialty contractor companies are utilizing Procore to manage their businesses while hundreds of thousands of tradespeople access Procore on jobs annually to save time and money through streamlined communication and business processes between the field and office.

Procore provides specialty contractors with solutions that enable them to be more efficient so work can get done when and where it needs to get done with Project Management and Performance Management, while giving immediate access to critical information like payroll and productivity reports with Field Financials, ERP integrations via the App Marketplace, and Field Productivity Labor Tracking.

Keeping workflows and communication on one system allows teams to work more effectively across multiple jobs, mitigate the potential for safety risks, stay on schedule, and remain under budget.

"Procore's accounting integration has saved Green Mechanical at least $145,000 in just the first year," said Wes Simpson, COO, Green Mechanical. "We've reduced our operating costs by 5x while saving approximately 4,000 hours in working time."

The Procore mobile app allows specialty contractors to easily communicate from any jobsite back to the office, reducing the amount of time spent driving from jobsite to the office and between other in-progress jobs. The Procore platform makes it possible to connect accounting systems like Quickbooks, Sage 100, Sage 300 and others directly into your Procore account so there's real-time access to job costs and profitability.

"We've seen immeasurable improvements in accuracy of labor data. We used to spend hours every week organizing time from different crews and jobs that was sent in on scraps of paper and cardboard box lids," said Brandon Lopez, Field Operations Manager, ABLe Communications. "With Procore's Timesheets tool, our foremen enter accurate crew time and select correct cost codes every day. The approvals feature then gives us a built-in checks and balances for accuracy before payroll processing."

"Procore's vision is to help improve the lives of everyone in construction, so just like we've worked on developing a solution to support general contractors, we are committed to further developing solutions and features that will be tailored to specialty contractors," said Tooey Courtemanche, CEO, Procore. "We've assembled a team of engineering and product managers to support this initiative with plans to release new features at Groundbreak 2019."

Additionally, people entering the construction workforce through educational courses at trade associations are being taught using Procore. Thousands of tradespeople are entering the workforce with the knowledge of how to utilize the Procore platform on their jobs through strategic partnerships between Procore.org and organizations like the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, United Association, Ironworker Management Progressive Action Cooperative Trust, Operative Plasterers' and Cement Masons' International Association, and the electrical training ALLIANCE.

"Each year we train thousands of tradespeople on Procore and it's extremely valuable to those people and the industry as a whole," said Alfonso Bastidos, Technical Coordinator, Carpenters International Training Fund. "We are seeing stronger demand across our UBC signatory General Contractors and Interior System Contractors who view knowledge of Procore as a competitive advantage when entering the workforce. Most subcontractors are using Procore and it's a marketable skill that we are seeing land tradespeople jobs."
