CGW names new plant manager

Fred Brutsche brings more than 25 years of manufacturing experience to new role.


CGW-Camel Grinding Wheels hired Fred Brutsche as its new plant manager.

As plant manager, Brutsche’s responsibilities include overseeing plant operations, customer service, planning, purchasing and production. With more than 25 years of manufacturing experience, Brutsche has held positions as a general manager, manufacturing manager and materials manager.

“CGW is excited to welcome someone with so much experience,” said Joe O’Mera, president, CGW-Camel Grinding Wheels. “Fred aims to strengthen organization within the company, which will lead to increased efficiencies and cultural solidarity.”

Brutsche served four years of active duty in the U.S. Army and four years in the Army Reserves. During his military service, he was awarded the Soldier of the Month for V Corp three times, Soldier of the Quarter for V Corp twice and Soldier of the Year for V Corp once. Fred also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from California State University. He is also a certified purchasing manager and production and inventory manager.

Fred currently lives in southern California. He has three daughters and is an accomplished hiker and tournament poker player.
