Safety: Bosch Hammer Vacuum and Right-Angle Attachments

Today's professionals face significant health hazards on jobsites when dust is thrown into the air from concrete drilling and chiseling applications. Rather than removing dust and dirt after it has already entered the air, Bosch is taking measures to contain these harmful elements directly at the source with an all-new lineup of dust collection attachments for its SDS-plus and SDS-max / spline hammers. When paired with the new nine- and 14-gallon dust extractors, these products set a new standard in dust collection by removing dust and dirt as soon as it is created.

Bosch is also increasing the versatility of its best-in-class SDS-plus hammers through an improved right-angle attachment to make drilling concrete in tight spaces more efficient than ever.

HDC100 for SDS-plus Concrete Drilling

The Bosch HDC100 is engineered to collect dust before it enters the air through a dust cap that surrounds the tip of the bit. The metal telescoping rail retracts into the housing to accommodate the drilling application and improve jobsite durability. A depth adjustment allows the user to control the drilling depth up to 4-3/4 inches.

The HDC100 can be used with both standard drill bits and also thin wall core bits when used with the core bit adaptor included in the kit. The dust collection housing attaches to the tool via a unique side handle interface making installation and adjustment on the tool easier than ever before. The new HDC100 is compatible with most newer Bosch corded SDS-plus hammers: 11253VSR, 11255VSR, RH228VC, RH328VC / VCQ and cordless models RHH181-01, 11536-C and 11536VSR.

HDC200 and HDC250 for SDS-max / Spline and Core Bit Concrete Drilling

In addition to dust collection for SDS-plus hammers, the new HDC200 and HDC250 are designed for drilling applications for the larger SDS-max and spline hammers. These flexible systems are universal in nature in that they are not tool specific. These units simply connect directly to a Bosch dust extractor (vacuum), and the air suction through one of the two specially designed air chambers sucks the unit to the wall. The second air chamber allows the drilling bit to pass through for the actual dust collection process. Like the HDC100, these units feature the integrated 1-3/8-inch dust port, which fits the Bosch vacuum nozzle. Dust port adaptors (sold separately) are also available to convert the dust port to either 1-1/4- or 2-inch vacuum nozzles.

The HDC200 is designed for a maximum bit diameter of 2-1/2 inches. However, it is optimized for drilling diameters from 5/8 inches to 1-3/8 inches. The replaceable brush ring is flexible enough to provide the proper air seal around these different bit diameters. For diameters from 1-3/8 inches up to 2-1/2 inches, the brush ring must be removed.

The HDC250 is designed for larger (core bit) diameters up to 6 inches, although it is optimized for diameters from 1-1/2 inches up to 5 inches. Like the HDC200, this unit also features a replaceable brush ring that provides the proper air seal around these different bit diameters. For diameters greater than 5 inches, the brush ring must be removed.

HDC300 for Chiseling Applications

During chiseling applications, the HDC300 focuses air suction from the dust extractor around the chisel for maximum dust collection. Thanks to a durable clamping band, this flexible chiseling attachment easily installs on all Bosch SDS-max, spline rotary and demolition hammers with exception of the 11316EVS SDS-max Demolition Hammer. Also included in the kit is an extension tube and three adaptors to fit different sized hammer tubes.

The HDC300 is unique in that it allows the user to access the chisel for installation/removal and/or adjustment without removing the attachment. The attachment features a metal extension arm which can be adjusted forward or backward to accommodate different chisel lengths and also provides added jobsite durability. A convenient rubber bumper at the tip of the housing provides cushion if the shroud contacts the work piece during chiseling applications.

RHA-50 SDS-plus Right Angle Attachment

Not all jobsites provide an open area for users to easily access their workspace. When drilling in hard-to-reach spaces becomes an issue, Bosch leads the way in providing efficient and effective solutions. The RHA-50 SDS-plus Right Angle Attachment allows for effortless drilling in tight areas and can also pivot 360 degrees in order to obtain the correct working position. The RHA-50 is compatible with most newer Bosch SDS-plus hammers featuring the 50mm collar.
