Johnson Level Bamboo Levels

Johnson Level’s Bricklayer Series Bamboo frame is strong, durable, tough and sustainable.Johnson Level & Tool, leader in spirit levels and laser levels introduced the world's first Bamboo levels to masonry professionals at the 2011 World of Concrete tradeshow and 2011 Spec Mix Bricklayer 500 National in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on Earth, with a tensile strength comparable to steel. Despite being categorized as "wood", bamboo is actually a grass, growing in specific climates all over the world. Made into carpenter, mason and bricklayer levels, Bamboo is rapidly becoming one of the most popular types of residential and commercial raw materials in use today.

"Johnson Level's Bricklayer Series Bamboo frame is strong, durable, tough and sustainable. It's packed with features most asked for by the professional mason," said Jeff Johnson, Director of Marketing. "The Bricklayer Bamboo level includes nailed on flat stainless steel bindings to protect the frame, screwed on stainless steel end-caps for butting up against brick, an expanded viewing window for ease of reading and a hand-set dual vial system for assured accuracy."

The EcoTech Series bamboo levels feature angle metal bindings, durable rubber end caps and hand-set dual vials. Manufacturing the Bamboo levels at its dedicated wood level facility in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, these products further solidify Johnson Level's North American leadership in wood level manufacturing.

Other wood level products include heavy-duty Big J laminated three-piece walnut and maple levels, aluminum framed I-beam birch levels, classic solid mahogany wood levels and American hardwood laminated wood levels, all of which are available for special order laser-etched branding and personalization.
