Metabo SE 18 LTX 18V Cordless Drywall Screw Guns
Metabo Corporation is pleased to introduce a new line of powerful and well-balanced cordless drywall screw guns. The SE 18 LTX family of drywall screw guns feature an adjustable depth guide which allows the user to precisely set the recess of screw heads for accurate and easy finishing.
Metabo’s new 18V cordless drywall screw guns are available in three versions for varying applications:
- SE 18LTX 2500 (2,500 RPM / 80 in. lbs.) is the ideal choice for residential construction and working with wood panels
- SE 18LTX 4000 (4,000 RPM / 62 in. lbs.) is our mid-range offering best suited for residential and commercial construction
- SE 18LTX 6000 (6,000 RPM / 44 in. lbs.) is the fastest model and best suited for commercial construction with metal studs
- Also available is the (SM 5-55), a screw magazine for collated screws that enables the user to drive screws accurately and quickly

Metabo’s drywall screw guns are equipped with vario-speed electronics for working at customized speeds to match the type of material being hung. The lock-on trigger allows quick and repetitive work while the spindle engages only when pressure is applied. The tools have an integrated LED work light for better visibility when working in dark spaces.
The batteries include Ultra-M technology for highest performance, efficient charging, optimized energy utilization and longer service life. Metabo suggests using their low profile 18V, 2.0 Ah battery for general use or the 18V LiHD 3.1 Ah battery for extreme users.
Ultra-M
Metabo’s Ultra-M technology was designed specifically for industrial users, whose applications typically demand more power, enhanced battery life and longer run times. The first key behind the system is a microchip in the battery that effectively communicates with the tool and battery charger. This ongoing communications ensures that each battery cell is evenly charged and discharged every single time, thus greatly extending the life of the battery pack as well as protecting the tools being used.
Second, Productivity is also greatly increased as a hot “spent” battery can be placed in the charger immediately after disconnecting from the tool. The charger’s built-in fan system quickly cools the battery pack as it begins the charging cycle, thus reducing overall charging time. The result is a battery that will effectively survive more charge/discharge cycles than other battery systems.
And to back their claim, Metabo is offering a 3-year guarantee on their battery and charging system. If for any reason, the battery does not charge, Metabo will replace it.
