Seahorse Knight added to 10th Anniversary Commemorative Chess Set

Complete instructions, tool list and design files are available at no charge.

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Next Wave Automation is offering free instructions and VCarve files for making a commemorative chess set. Complete instructions and design files for the Seahorse Knight are now available at no charge on the company’s website.

Subsequent instructions and files for each chess piece will be provided each month. Previously posted – and still available on the company website - Commemorative Chess Set projects include the chess board and the Piranha Pawn.

“The Commemorative Chess Set is a really fun project,” says Tim Owens, founder and CEO. “We’re excited to celebrate our 10th Anniversary and thought this was a fun way to thank our customers, new and old, for their support and enthusiasm about woodworking with CNCs.”

Since the introduction of the CNC Shark in 2007, Next Wave Automation has introduced and entire line of Desktop CNC machines and accessories and has won several industry awards for its innovative products. Available now, at no charge on, are downloadable instructions and design files for the chess board. Each month, Next Wave Automation will upload instructions and design files for a chess piece each month.

The commemorative chess set can be made using any of the company’s CNC models by taking advantage of the double-sided machining available in Vectric’s New V9 Software.
