Woodgrain to Acquire Jeld-Wen Towanda Plant
Woodgrain Inc., a millwork and building products company, has inked a purchase agreement with JELD-WEN Holding Inc. for the acquisition of its Towanda, Pennsylvania plant.
“The Towanda plant is a strategic acquisition for Woodgrain,” said Kelly Dame, CEO and president of Woodgrain. “The addition of molded door skin and exterior trim manufacturing fits perfectly within our business model and growth plan.”
Woodgrain previously held an ownership position in the Towanda facility from 2002-2012. The purchase of the Towanda facility is expected to close as early as December 31, 2024.
“Towanda has a great customer base whom we know well, and we look forward to continuing to service and grow share with existing customers,” Dame said.
Headquartered in Fruitland, Idaho, Woodgrain is family-owned millwork and building products manufacturer with locations throughout the United States and Chile. The company is a producer of moulding, doors, windows and lumber, as well as a premier distributor of specialty building products.
“Woodgrain takes pride in being the employer of choice in the communities we operate, and we believe that our people are our greatest asset,” said Brooks Dame, vice president of the door division. “We look forward to adding the skilled Towanda associates back to the Woodgrain family and plan to maintain all the current employees of the Towanda plant.”
Wells Fargo is serving as the exclusive financial advisor to Woodgrain.
