CircSaw Donates 200 SkatePlates to Los Angeles Fire Reconstruction
CircSaw Technologies is donating 200 SkatePlates to assist in the daunting task that lies ahead to rebuild the areas of Los Angeles impacted by the recent fires.
The Pacific Palisades-based company manufactures SkatePlate accessories for circular saws used in construction. Like thousands of others, CircSaw suffered losses as a result of the Palisades and Eaton fires.
“The fires have disrupted the lives of so many families and businesses in the Los Angeles area and now is the time to pool our resources towards rebuilding our neighborhoods,” said Robert May, CircSaw’s CEO.
To shine a ray of hope on the situation, CircSaw is making its donation of the 200 SkatePlates.
SkatePlate and SkateGuide combo kits fit most 7 1/4-inch sidewinder and wormdrive saws. Made of high-impact nylon, with Delrin bearings and polyurethane rollers, the SkatePlate glides easily across any cutting surface without scratching. The SkateGuide, which also has rollers, allows the users to measure once and cut multiple times. With the SkatePlate, the saws become portable table saws at jobsites, saving time and reducing fatigue.
The donations will be made to any California-based contractors, builders, relief agencies, government agencies, fire departments or other entities that will play a part in the reconstruction.
May noted that hundreds of thousands of feet of lumber and other materials will need to be cut in the rebuilding effort. He said using SkatePlates will save a significant amount of time in the process.
Organizations interested in receiving a SkatePlate should contact May at rmay@cirsaw.com. The product will ship from Fontana, CA.
