Based in Valparaiso, Indiana, PHP operates out of a 50,000 square foot warehouse space, offering a wide selection of heaters, tools, equipment, and supplies from brands such as Heatstar, L.B. White, DeWalt, Bosch, Paragon and others.
Smith has been with PHP since 1999 and enters the role of president after spending time in a variety of roles within the company over the past 26 years. In a press release announcing his promotion, the company says Smith’s understanding of the products, operations and customers made him an idea leader for its next phase of growth.
He had previously served as vice president, overseeing vendor relationships, inventory and customer service.
Outgoing President John Walsh, who has guided the company since 1996, will remain with the company as chairperson.
In addition, this summer, PHP will be unveiling a refreshed logo that reflects its expanded product offerings and commitment to customer service.
The company has served the rental, construction supply, and event/party rental industries for nearly 45 years. It grew from its roots in portable heaters and parts, to a diverse range of products from a range of vendors.
