STAFDA Welcomes New Sales Consultant
The Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association (STAFDA) has named a new endorsed sales consultant: Joe Ellers, president of Joseph C. Ellers Consulting Associates, Clemson, SC. He is author of The Sales Managers Handbook and, for the last 25 years, he has been training industry sales organizations and working with leadership to improve sales.
Ellers gives keynote presentations at dozens of conferences around the world and is available for on-site sales training and consultation. As STAFDA’s sales consultant, he offers members 30 minutes of phone time per year to answer questions about sales
and sales management issues in addition to writing STAFDA’s quarterly Sales Advisory.
World of Concrete Hospitality Party
Heading to Vegas and World of Concrete at the end of January? Don’t forget STAFDA’s annual get together. The Association will host a hospitality party for its members and prospective members, Tuesday, January 24, at the Renaissance Las Vegas hotel (adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center) from 5:30-7:00 p.m. It’s a great chance to talk to peers, learn more about STAFDA, as well as enjoy beverages and hors d’oeuvres.
New Purchasing Manual in the Works
STAFDA is adding to its library of industry-specific training manuals next spring with the STAFDA Supply Management Manual, written by Dr. Larry Giunipero, a materials management and marketing professor at Florida State University. The guide will begin with the history of the buying function and Supply Chain Management then delve into strategic sourcing, supplier selection, negotiations, technology’s role in the supply chain, and more.
All STAFDA members will receive one free copy of the Supply Management Manual with additional copies available for a nominal charge. This book joins STAFDA’s series of workbooks, which include The Executive’s Guide to Business Security, Creating an Attractive Showroom, the Disaster Preparedness Manual, Foundations of a Business and Sales Pro.
