Southwire Unveils Business Development Team

Southwire recently announced the formation of a dedicated business development team to meet the needs of the exponential growth of critical vertical markets that continue to drive significant increases in power demand

Recognizing this shift, Southwire is positioning itself to proactively address evolving market needs by developing standardized solution designs tailored to support key customer needs.

The new team will focus on identifying growth opportunities, deepening customer relationships and delivering tailored solutions that support long-term success in these critical sectors.

In addition, it will collaborate closely with the strategic verticals sales teams to ensure alignment and maximize impact.

Reporting directly to Rohan Kelkar, executive vice president, utility and industrial group, the business development unit will be under the direction of Nedra Hurley, senior vice president of business development.

“With this new team, we can develop standardized solution designs tailored to support key areas and meet end-user capacity agreements to keep up with the ever-changing demands of these industry verticals,” Kelkar said

Hurley recently concluded over two decades of service at ABB, where she held a range of roles from proposal engineer to vice president of utility sales, East region, within the electrification business.

An alumnus of Ohio University and Cleveland State University, She currently lives in Kernersville, North Carolina, and also spends time on her family farm in Ohio.

Hurley officially begins her new position with Southwire on Monday, November 3.
