Engineered for performance and precision, the MHB4000 is designed to bend 2.5 inches to 4 inches of electrical metallic tubing (EMT), intermediate metal conduit (IMC) and rigid conduit, with fewer operators and greater accuracy.
“The MHB4000 is truly a leap forward in 2.5-to-4-inch hydraulic conduit bending technology,” said Bill Forsythe, product manager of electrical equipment at Southwire. “This bender introduces several industry firsts including the first hydraulically raised mast, first electronic VFD motor control, first dual-action, long-throw cylinder, and the first intelligent accessory storage system, all designed to enhance productivity and ease of use on the job site.”
The MHB4000 features a rigid, stable mast, VFD motor control, precision-machined shoes and follow bars which deliver consistent, accurate bends.
In addition, Forsythe said the dual-action, long-stroke cylinder requires no extra adjustments to the cylinder position when changing shoes.
Overall cylinder control is more precise and a patent-pending “Assist Pin” solution reduces set-up time between bends.
The bender also includes a two-button controller that raises, lowers and locks the cylinder. For organizational purposes, the accessories and storage sections are color-coded.
