“North American contractors are being asked to do more with fewer people, tighter timelines, and increasingly complex materials,” said Brandy Carmona, product manager, Makinex North America. “Our focus at Makinex is to bring equipment to market that makes work safer, easier and more efficient to manage on today’s jobsites.”
Carmona said the new Forced Action Mixer or FAM is a clear example of how the company is bringing proven engineering and practical innovation to the North American market.
The 265-pound (120 kg) FAM is 29.9 inches wide, 38.6 inches in depth and x 47.6-54.1 inches in height.
Carmona said it uses a controlled, “forced mixing” process rather than a traditional paddle action, delivering more uniform results with high-viscosity materials while reducing dust and cleanup time.
In addition, a sealed, AC-geared motor provides efficient, consistent torque with 1,100 W output, supporting the 37.1 gallon mixing capacity.
A unique concave, inverted, anti-spill lid and replaceable liner were designed for less mess, less downtime, and extended service life. By keeping material contained during mixing, Carmona said the FAM reduces material loss and helps maintain accurate mix ratios.
Also, the removable liner allows fast changeovers between screeds, mortars, epoxy-bound aggregates, and cementitious materials, eliminating cross-contamination and reducing cleaning time between batches.
Adjustable legs stabilize the mixer at uneven jobsites, ensuring a level mixing surface, while rear transport wheels support easy loading and unloading. Additional features include a built-in vacuum port for dust suppression and removable mixing handles for easier cleaning and maintenance.
