Makita has released its new XGT hammer driver drill, which delivers up to 1,590 in.lbs. of maximum torque.

Featuring a three-speed transmission, the GPH03 delivers up to 1,590 in.lbs. of maximum torque. In hammer-drill mode, it applies a percussive motion for drilling holes in concrete or masonry.

It features an electronic digital clutch that targets the desired torque range during fastening, with 41 settings in low speed, 30 settings in medium, 21 settings in high. It includes three speed settings for drilling, 0-650 / 0-1,800 / 0-2,600 RPM or 0-9,750 / 0-27,000 / 0-36,000 IPM.

In addition, the hammer drill includes Active Feedback-sensing Technology (AFT), which turns the motor off if rotation of the accessory is suddenly forced to stop. It also features twice the working speed without overloading batteries in Medium Speed.

The GPH03 features a redesigned side handle that provides stability and grip under heavy torque applications to maintain control. It also features an all-metal chuck for increased jobsite durability and a reinforced gear housing that is engineered for maximum job site durability.
