Makita has launched an 18V LXT Radio and Lantern.

The new Bluetooth Radio and Lantern is powered by the same 18V batteries that are compatible with 350+ LXT products.

“Makita continues to expand the 18V LXT system with the newest Bluetooth Radio and Lantern product,” said Robert Monroe, Makita product manager for drilling, fastening and expansion. “This new release builds on our popular radio and lantern line by adding Bluetooth capability and ensure we have a product for every need our customers have.”

The unit features four L.E.D. lighting modes: 360-degree lantern, 3-side lantern, flashlight, or strobe flashlight for added user convenience. The XRM13 features a push-button operated digital tuner with nine programmable stations, and it features two lantern brightness settings from 130 up to 310 lumens.

For the lantern, the XRM13 features three L.E.D. lighting color modes: daylight white, neutral white, and warm white, allowing users to set the environment from reading to relaxing.

There is a built-in USB port for charging portable electronic devices for added user convenience on job sites or where portable device charging is needed.

With an 18V LXT 5.0Ah battery, the XRM13 offers up to 16 hours of illumination and 44 hours of continuous radio operation.

The lantern has a foldable metal hang hook/handle with a rubber grip that provides easy transportation or hanging. It weighs only 3.4 pounds and is only 11 3/8 inches long.
