Makita Cleans Up with New Compact Wet/Dry Vac
Makita has released a new compact Wet/Dry Handheld Canister Vacuum/Dust Extractor for janitorial and industrial construction cleaning and dust management on its XGT platform.

The new 40V max XGT 2 Gallon HEPA Filter Portable Wet/Dry Dust Extractor/Vacuum (GCV14) features over 75% more suction power with 102 CFM, 60-inch water lift, and up to 60% lower noise than the 18V LXT Wet/Dry Dust Extractor/Vacuum.
“Makita goes deep in the vacuum and dust extraction category, and the new XGT vacuum combines efficient cleaning with portability in a compact size,” said Wayne Hart, Makita senior communications manager. “This versatile vacuum has wet and dry capability, includes a HEPA filter for efficient dust extraction, and quickly converts from a vacuum to a blower.”
Hart says the compact vacuum is an ideal cleaning solution for a wide range of users.
The vacuum delivers over three hours of continuous run time on low and delivers up to 35 minutes on high on a single charge. For transport, the vac features a handle that stores out of the way. It also has an on-board hose and nozzle storage.
The GCV14 includes additional accessories for cleaning, including the wet filter, a 10-pack paper filter bag set, a shoulder strap, and a 7-inch black crevice nozzle.
Also available, but sold separately is Makita’s caster wheel set, which allows the GCV14 to be rolled around the floor for maximum convenience.
