The name change recognizes the evolution of the Industrial & Safety Division, acknowledging an expansion of construction-focused distributors and suppliers alongside AD’s longstanding industrial and safety membership.
“Founded in 1994, AD’s Industrial & Safety Division has continuously evolved by adding adjacent markets aligned with our members’ growth strategies,” said Jessica Yurgaitis, chairperson of the ISC Division Board. “Over the years, we have been fortunate to attract strong independent distributors and suppliers successfully growing in the construction channel. The ISC name reflects who we are today and where we are going,”
The rebrand recognizes the synergies between AD’s existing Industrial, Safety, and Construction focused members and suppliers that supply many similar product categories to varying end-user markets, allowing members in these verticals to leverage AD’s combined scale to access differentiated programs and value-added services.
Under the leadership of Mike Carr, President of the ISC Division, AD will continue to focus on helping growth-oriented independent distributors and supplier partners compete and win through collaboration, scale, and shared best practices across industrial, safety, and construction markets.
“The ISC Divisional Board has demonstrated exceptional leadership in thoughtfully guiding this evolution - balancing the addition of construction-focused members while remaining firmly anchored in our industrial and safety roots,” said Marisol Fernandez, president of AD’s Electrical and Industrial Business Unit. “This name change is a testament to the board’s multi-year diversification strategy and acknowledges a successful track-record of serving a broad range of Independents in the markets we serve.”
