Makita Releases 40V max XGT Telescoping 8-inch Polisher/Scrubber
Makita has released the Makita 40V max XGT Telescoping 8-inch Polisher/Scrubber (GSP01) giving users a powerful tool for cleaning and polishing multiple surfaces.

“This unique product brings ultimate portability, versatility, and performance by combining a wide range of brush and floor pad options with adjustability in every sense,” said Robert Monroe, Makita product manager, drilling, fastening and expansion. “Powered by a Makita brushless motor, users can use the GSP01 to clean both smooth and rough concrete, patios, stairwells, all the way to polishing the smoothest of wax floors.”
The Telescoping 8-inch Polisher/Scrubber delivers constant speed control with up to 60% faster brush speeds. It has a 3-speed selector (150 / 350 / 650 RPM) enabling users to match the speed to the application for polishing, cleaning, and wax removal.
Also, the tool features an adjustable head that can be fixed in the ideal position or in a floating mode for superior anti-wobble control.
On a single charge of a 40V XGT 4.0Ah battery, the GSP01 offers up to 3 1/2 hours of run time on low and 48 minutes on high. It also features “tool-less" attachment changes to provide quick and easy pad and accessory changes.
The telescoping handle provides 14 inches of extension for an overall length from 42 1/2 inches to 56-1/2 inches. The handle also features an adjustable easy-grip that provides a comfortable positon for applying pressure on the scrubbing and polishing head.
In addition, there are a range of color-coded attachments available for cleaning and polishing tile floors, decks, resin wax, concrete, and other surfaces. It also features anti-restart protection to prevent motor start up when the battery is inserted, while the switch is locked on.
The GSP01 weighs only 10.3 lbs. with battery for reduced operator fatigue and has two head-mounted LED job lights providing front-facing illumination.
