Makita unveils the "world's largest cordless circular saw."

The company describes it as the world’s largest cordless circular saw.

“Pro users can look to this absolute beast of a circular saw to cut ceiling joists, large posts, rafters, tie beams and so much more,” said Fernando Serratos, Makita product marketing manager, residential construction.

The new saw provides up to 30% faster cutting speeds than corded models. It is ideal for cutting large timber, pressure treated lumber and wood logs.

According to Makita, on a single charge, the GSH06 can deliver up to up to 75 cuts per charge in 6 by 12 lumber.

It delivers large capacity blade cuts of 6-1/4 inch at 90 degrees and 4-3/16 inches at 45 degrees. The GSH06 can cut 6 times material at 90 degrees and 4 times material at 45 degrees in a single pass.

In addition, the max XGT 16-5/16-inch Circular Saw features a 0 to 45 degrees bevel capacity with positive stops at 15 degrees, 30 degrees, and 45 degrees.

It also features a compact and ergonomic die-cast aluminum design that weighs only 24.3 pounds, 4.1 pounds lighter than equivalent corded saws.

Additional features include a blade stabilizer for stable blade rotation, an electric brake and a bevel lock that allows the user to adjust the cutting bevel angle quickly and easily.

It also features Soft Start, which suppresses start-up reaction for improved accuracy.
