After a decade of service at Cortec followed by five years of hands-on experience in industrial facility management, Richey is better equipped than ever to drive Cortec VpCI technology growth in the US and Canada. Richey also brings down-to-earth rapport to his leadership role and everyday interactions.
“I'm excited for Matt to return to Cortec, now in the role of director of sales, North America,” said Caleb Pheneger, Cortec president. “During Matt's previous 9.5 years of experience at Cortec he developed a deep understanding of our business, distributors, and customers. I'm confident that he will quickly contribute to our success by building strong relationships and partnerships which are key to our strategic growth objectives.”
Richey will be working with the Cortec North American Sales team and distributors to grow customer relationships through education on Cortec VpCI products and services.
After five years of facility management and purchasing experience for a Japanese automotive supplier, Richey understands what it is like to be on both ends of a sale and has a keener understanding of how maintenance and equipment preservation needs dovetail with the industrial corrosion solutions that Cortec offers.
Outside of Cortec, Richey thrives on a foundation of family and farming.
“Farming helps me wind down as I don’t look at it as work; it is my time to relax,” he said, adding that it also helps him to relate better to others because of all the hard after-hours work that goes into helping people survive.
“Be kind and help one another as we only make this trip once on the beautiful earth,” is one of Richey’s mottos.
