GripEdge Launches 9-Piece Metric Long Hex Key Set
GripEdge Tools has unveiled its 9-PC RPT Long Metric Hex Key Set, a professional-grade hex key solution built for technicians who drive and remove hex fasteners in tight, angled, or obstructed spaces.

The set combines the company’s patented Rounding Prevention Technology (RPT) and ball-hex geometry with extra-long bars, S2 tool steel construction, Color-Eye-D coding, and a locking wallet-style holder featuring patented C-Grip slot geometry.

He said the patented RPT and ball-hex geometry grips the flat faces of the fastener, not the corners, delivering up to 50% more grip on intact fasteners and up to 400% more on damaged ones.

In addition to the straight cut tips, each key features ball hex tips that allow up to 20 degrees of pivot for angled access, letting technicians drive fasteners without a straight-on approach.
This is valuable in engine bays, suspension components, and confined industrial spaces where direct alignment is not always possible.
In addition, the extra-long bars extend reach into valve covers, transmission housings, and other recessed applications where standard-length hex keys fall short.
The set is built from S2 tool steel with a black manganese finish for corrosion resistance and long-term durability.
A round-bar design with a knurled section provides positive hand grip in wet or oily conditions. Large laser-etched markings ensure quick size identification, and Color-Eye-D coding in Black and Grey designates the metric sizes at a glance.
The locking, folding wallet-style holder features patented C-Grip slot geometry that retains each key and allows precise one-handed removal.
