2024 was a year of mixed outcomes. The construction industry varied with modest growth on the single-family residential market and relative stability within the commercial markets. With ongoing federal funding initiatives, public sector projects also saw increased activity.

Within the anchor market, Cobra Anchors remains very positive about its current prospects for 2025.

Michel Belzile, vice president of sales and marketing at Cobra Anchors said the company is always seeking to grow and create new innovative products supported by technology to offer to the market, which is becoming more competitive every day.

He noted that having production facilities in the USA and offices in Europe makes distribution simpler, helping ensure deliveries are always on time and efficiently organized. Currently, Belzile said the trends in the construction sector are positive, although he noted that things typically start slowly and then ramp up as the year goes on. He also said it is helpful that with the quality and wider distribution of its products, Cobra Anchors remains competitive in the broader market.

“The main factor is of course, the economy, with the changes that exist in different parts of the world, as well as investments and the political issues always in constant motion,” he said. “This is without forgetting the regulations within our own sector of the market and the general flow of supply and demand that is reflected equally in our sector.”

Looking forward, Belzile said the future will focus on efficiency, sustainability, and technology. For example, he said smart fastening systems, eco-friendly materials, and automation will drive innovation, while improved logistics and localized production will strengthen distribution.

“At Cobra Anchors, we are always looking for new solutions in anchoring systems,” Belzile said. “In the future we hope to continue innovating with all the technology and new trends to set standards in our market sector, as well as continue growing in different parts of the world.”
