Bosch Power Tools is answering user demands for a portable, lightweight compact saw with the launch of the Bosch CM8S 8-Inch Single Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw. At just 37 pounds, Bosch says the CM8S is the ultimate in portability and convenience for jobsite cuts.
The exclusive Bosch design delivers a well-balanced saw with a top-handle for one-handed transportation on and off jobsites. Almost half the weight of larger saws, the CM8S offers a convenient solution for remodelers, flooring contractors and woodworkers who need a portable saw. In fact, the CM8S delivers nearly the same cutting capacity as a 10-inch miter saw, but weighs 30 percent less.
Easy access controls - including a bevel lock lever and turret stops - located on the side of the tool allow users to make quick and easy adjustments for multiple cuts.
A unique vertical, form-fitting trigger handle provides intuitive cutting and ambidextrous use. Soft grips on both the main handle and top carry handle provide added comfort.
An adjustable front stabilizing foot maintains saw stability when performing cuts at each level of maximum capacity: 12-1/4-inch cross-cut at 0 degrees, 8-inch miter at 45 degrees, 2-3/4-inch upright base and 3-1/2 max crown.
Integrated expanding base extensions add up to 29 inches left to right of additional work piece support and retract to just 18 inches wide when not in use to maximize the tool's compact size.
The CM8S was designed to enhance user experience with better line of sight. A clear lower guard provides an unobstructed view unlike other miter saws on the market.
A large, easy-to-read miter scale gives users uniform marks from 52 degrees left to 60 degrees right. Ten adjustable miter detents are set at the most common cuts, and an intuitive, easy-to-access thumb-activated detent override allows accurate adjustment when cutting near detents.
The CM8S also offers a powerful 12 amp, 5,600 RPM motor to delivering optimal performance.
