Cords & Lights: Carlon Retractable Work Surface Receptacle

In response to the need for easy access to power for a variety of home and office devices, Thomas & Betts places power outlets within reach with the new Carlon Retractable Work Surface Receptacle. When the outlet is not in use, the Carlon Retractable Work Surface Receptacle can be recessed below the work surface by pushing down on its cover; the outlet becomes accessible by pulling up the integral grip on its cover.

A hole saw, included with the receptacle, attaches to a standard power drill and enables the Carlon Retractable Work Surface Receptacle to be mounted quickly on a desktop, counter or other work surface. No wiring is required, as a six-foot cord connects the receptacle to an existing outlet.

Other features include a compact design that occupies minimal space, a rotated receptacle orientation that accommodates oversized adapters, and a locking collar that secures the assembly to the work surface. The black, polycarbonate cover compliments most home and office décor.
