Portable Electric Tools: Festool T 12+3 and T 15+3 Cordless drill/drivers
New cordless drivers, sanding blocks and Systainer toolbox from Festool.
Festool USA announces three new products available now, including the models T 12+3 and T 15+3 Cordless drill/drivers (non-set versions), new hand sanding blocks and the new Systainer SYS 2 Attic box.
T 12+3 and T 15+3 Cordless drill/driver non-set versions
The T+3 drills are now available in a basic configuration intended for 1) existing Festool drill users who are ready to upgrade, but already have the complete FastFix system or 2) new users who are not yet ready to invest in the full set solution. Each of the new versions includes the Centrotec starter set, ½” Fast Fix standard chuck, two Lithium ion batteries, and charger. The drills are packaged in a Systainer SYS 2 Attic for expanded storage capability (see below for details). The cost of the T 12+3 non-set version is $400 and the T 15+3 non-set version is $450.
Three hand sanding blocks & hand sanding block set+SYS Mini
Round sanding block (soft & hard versions)
These feature an ergonomic, comfortable round design and are compatible with the full line of Festool 6“ (150mm) abrasives (wrapped) – the same abrasives used with the Rotex RO 150 and ETS 150 sanders. (Festool abrasives offer a mechanical fastening design, StickFix, which provides a secure, non-slip bond for better results and allows for quick and efficient abrasive changes.) The soft pad is used for fine sanding and touch ups and the hard pad for coarse sanding and shaping tasks. Cost of each sanding block is $25.00.
Rectangular sanding block (hard)
Hard rectangular pad is ideal for edge work and corners. Rectangular design is compatible with the full line of Festool 80x133mm abrasives – the same abrasives used with the RTS 400 and LS 130 sanders. Cost of each sanding block is $25.00.
Hand sanding block set+SYS Mini
This set includes all three hand sanding blocks with a SYS mini. The SYS mini is available in grey (or green, for a limited time). Cost is $75.00.
Systainer SYS 2 Attic
This systainer features an “attic”, which includes dividers to organize, store, protect, and transport bits, drivers, fasteners, and other small parts. The Systainer is shipped empty, but Systainer inserts may be ordered as spare parts. Cost of the Systainer SYS 2 Attic is $70.00.
