Flip Screen EX80 Screening Attachment for Excavators

Flip Screen Australia introduces the EX80 screening bucket attachment. Flip Screen Australia Pty Ltd, a designer and manufacturer of an award-winning line of screening attachments, introduces the EX80 screening bucket attachment. Featuring a simple, yet extremely robust design, the EX80 is a more rugged version of the E80 model, and durable enough to stand up to the most demanding industries including aggregates and roadbuilding, construction, demolition, landfill, mining, public works, railway, and waste and recycling.

Suitable for 20- to 27-ton excavators, the EX80 replaces the excavator's bucket and works by rotating on a horizontal axis continuously through 360 degrees. An easily interchangeable screen allows smaller particles through, depending on mesh size, while a baffle retains larger material so that it may be dumped separately.

The EX80 is extremely resilient and resistant to damage. The drive chain is capable of lifting heavy loads up to 24-metric tons, and self-aligning main bearings can handle a 64-metric ton static load. For added versatility, the EX80 can double as the excavator's bucket and is capable of digging at the full breakout force without worry of structural failure.

Designed for user-friendly operation, the EX80 requires minimal operator effort. Simply scoop desired material and activate the auxiliary hydraulics. A single Eaton hydraulic motor powers the bucket rotation, with rotation speed dependent on hydraulic flow and variable between 18- to 25-RPM.

The unit's smooth rotation eliminates jarring, shaking and vibration, further enhancing operator comfort, while reducing stress on the carrier.

Including its mesh screen, the EX80 weighs in at 4,650 pounds. The unit features a bucket opening 47 inches wide by 24 inches high, and has a capacity of approximately 1 cubic yard (.8 cubic meter). Total screening surface area is 37 square feet.

The EX80's specially engineered design allows a screen to be changed out easily in just minutes by the operator, with no tools required. Seven high-tensile steel mesh screens are offered, ranging in size from ½ to 4 inches, with additional, custom sizes available upon request. The unit comes equipped with choice of one mesh screen, and additional screens are available at an extra cost.
