Greenlee has launched a new and improved bi-metal reciprocating saw blades are proven to cut up to 25-percent faster and last up to 45-percent longer that the competition, providing the best value per blade for residential, commercial and industrial electricians, plumbers and remodeling contractors.

"Greenlee conducted comparison testing that was observed and verified by Materials Engineering Inc., an independent third party testing vendor," said Michelle Ricks, Greenlee project manager. "The test was conducted using 6-inch length, 24 Teeth Per Inch blades made by Milwaukee and Lenox for metal applications."

Brands tested included Lenox (Cat# 624R), Milwaukee (Cat# 5186), and Greenlee (Cat# 353-624). Testing was performed cutting 2-inch Rigid steel pipe at 1,500 RPM with a 20-pound load. Greenlee had the highest average number of cuts (29) and the quickest average time to cut (32.9 based on the first 10 cuts) than the competition. The competitive information was assembled by using the latest information and product available in the marketplace. Every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy.

The new Greenlee reciprocating saw blades are made from bi-metal material with cobalt for added toughness and versatility. The tooth design stays sharp longer while the heat resistance of the blade allows it to stay cooler. This enables these new blades to withstand demanding flush cuts without destroying the blade.
