ITW Red Head announces a new line of specialty concrete adhesives. The new and improved Epcon C6+ delivers outstanding performance with a 35% higher average bond strength compared to the closest competition in 70˚(F) cracked concrete.
Epcon C6+ is the newest addition to the Epcon Epoxy Anchoring Solutions roster. The line for acrylic and epoxy formulations already includes the S7 Hybrid Epoxy, A7 Acrylic Adhesive, and G5 High Strength Epoxy as well as screens, umbrella inserts, dispensing tools and accessories.
ITW says that Epcon C6+ offers the highest and most consistent tension performance in submerged applications based on side-by-side pull tests. Those results indicate it can deliver more than a 35% improvement in bond strength than the next highest-rated brand.
Users can expect excellent performance in diamond cored and oversized holes, and it conveniently installs at job sites even when concrete is wet.
“Architects and engineers need high performance adhesives like Epcon C6+ that work in real work situations, and not just in a laboratory when specifying chemical anchors for concrete construction. Our best-in-class performance assures them of the reliability and dependability they need in virtually any kind of environment,” said J Schneider, Marketing Director for ITW Commercial Construction North America.
“In addition to its superior bond strength and tension performance, this new epoxy features an improved dispensing capability. We also greatly minimized the odor to the point where it is hardly noticeable with indoor applications. And we are very pleased that the third party approval ratings for Epcon C6+ simplify specification and code compliance. Using our TruSpec anchor calculation software can help identify and determine specification solutions in a matter of minutes.”
Third party approvals include the following:
Epcon C6+ is available in 10 oz. and 20 oz. tubes and comes with a free nozzle. An ICC-ES Evaluation Report can be obtained at www.itwredhead.com.
