MK Diamond Nor’Easter MK-313 Diamond Blade
MK Diamond Products introduces the new Nor’Easter MK-313 diamond blade for cutting asphalt and concrete. It is designed with extra core cutouts, or cooling holes, that provide improved cooling during deep cutting, which helps keep the core from warping or losing tension.
The MK-313 can be used wet or dry due to the laser-welded segments. The strong laser-weld, which fuses the segment to the core, is designed to withstand the heat and pressure of dry cutting.
The Nor’Easter MK-313 features a combination of segmented and turbo segments for cutting abrasive materials like asphalt and concrete overlay applications. The slanted, deep gullet provides efficient removal of cutting debris for friction free cutting. The blade features full radius core protection every six segments with wedge segments that provide excellent undercut protection during all cutting operations.
“Undercut protection is important because abrasive materials tend to erode the core of the blade, especially near where the segments are laser welded to the blade. Slurry builds up near the weld and wears it away. Excessive undercutting causes damage to the core and even segment loss. The wedge segment design reduces slurry accumulation,” states Brian Delahaut, Vice President of MK Diamond Products.
The MK-313 supreme grade wet/dry cutting diamond blades are available in 12” to 18” diameters. The 15mm segment height provides long cutting life. The Nor’Easter offers a perfect combination of speed and extended life.
