Metabo Drop Secure Tool Tethering Accessories

Metabo is proud to introduce their new “Drop Secure” product range, which include eight new tethering accessories, from lanyards to self-adhesive safety tape and three new Drop Secure batteries in 4.0 Ah, 5.5 Ah and 10.0 Ah versions.

These new accessories complement Metabo's current line of Drop Secure corded angle grinders.

“Any tools being used 6 feet above ground level need to be tethered. If an end-user drops a 6.5 lb. angle grinder from 30 ft., the tool can strike with over 600 lbs. of deadly force; tethering can save a life! Cordless tools present a particular challenge with the possibility of the tool separating from the battery if dropped. Metabo’s new system ties the battery and tool together, preventing separation if dropped. All of the lanyards are certified to the international safety standard ANSI/ISEA 121-2018." said Terry Tuerk, Metabo's Senior Product Manager.
