Guardian Hero Class 1 SRLs
Height safety leader, Guardian, announced that select Hero Class 1 Self-Retracting Lifeline (SRL) configurations are now available. Hero, a new SRL platform is engineered to deliver dependable fall protection, enhanced mobility and simplified product selection for professionals working at height.
As the industry’s first dual-labelled ANSI Z359.14-2021 qualified and CSA Z259.2.2-2017 certified Self-Retracting Lifeline platform, Hero provides one trusted solution engineered to support jobsites across North America.

Designed for overhead Class 1 applications, the Hero platform is available in web and cable lifeline configurations, multiple lengths, single- and dual-leg models, and a variety of hook configurations to accommodate a broad range of work-at-height applications.
A key feature of the Hero platform is its dependable line-lock performance, engineered to minimize nuisance lockups while supporting smooth worker movement throughout the workday. This combination helps professionals remain productive without compromising fall protection.
Hero also features a double-recessed label design that protects critical safety information from jobsite wear, helping make ongoing inspections faster and easier throughout the service life of the SRL. An integrated gray housing provides immediate visual identification of the Class 1 product for overhead applications.
Additional design features include a swivel top connection point, integrated energy absorber and multiple available hook configurations. Every Hero SRL undergoes extensive laboratory testing and demanding field evaluations to validate performance in real-world working conditions.
The Hero Class 1 portfolio includes 6- and 11-foot web models, providing contractors and safety professionals with options for a variety of applications and working environments. Additional length models will be available soon as well as Class 2 varieties.
