Black & Decker launches the new MATRIX Quick Connect System tool, an innovative DIY-market modular tool system built around three different base power units and changeable attachments to drill, cut, sand, and more.
The patented MATRIX modular tool system offers performance and value in a simple and practical way for power tool users to grow their toolbox at their own pace. With this system, users can access some of the industry’s most popular types of tools which were traditionally limited to professionals while offering savings up to 42% versus purchasing bare tools separately.
The MATRIX modular tool system is offered in 12V MAX*, 20V MAX* and 4.0 Amp AC base power units each of which will be sold with the drill/driver attachment. This tool system was designed for performance and compactness.
The cordless models also each offer a lightweight lithium-ion battery which holds a charge up to 18 months. In addition to the drill/driver attachment that comes with the base power unit, this system has 6 attachments available for purchase separately:
Impact Driver Attachment
Oscillating Multi-Tool Attachment
Jigsaw Attachment
Detail Sander Attachment
Router Attachment
Trim Saw Attachment
The new Black & Decker MATRIX™ 12V MAX* and 20V MAX* base units each with drill/driver attachment will be available in October 2012 for $49.99 and $69.99, respectively, and the 4.0 Amp AC base unit with drill/driver attachment will be available in January 2013 for $39.99.
