The Carlon Horizontal Adjust-A-Box Non-Metallic Electrical Box from Thomas & Betts, which adjusts for different wall thicknesses with the turn of a screw, features horizontal orientation for mounting kitchen, bathroom and baseboard receptacles.
“The Carlon Horizontal Adjust-A-Box can be used in a variety of applications, including remodeling and new work for kitchens, bathrooms and baseboards,” said Chad Smith, director, product management at Thomas & Betts. “It is ideal for use with ceramic tile, and blends well with rectangular tile. It also works well in limited-space and multi-level islands.”
Additional features include a metal bracket for horizontal mounting that clips onto any standard wood or metal stud.
The box mounts squarely and securely without screws or nails, but includes mounting holes for non-standard studs or in applications where more secure mounting is required. Preset at one-half inch, it is adjustable from zero to 1 7/8 inches.
Its 21-cubic-inch capacity accommodates duplex and GFCI receptacles. It is made of Carlon Blue polyvinylchloride (PVC) for easy identification as a power device.
