Portable Electric Tools: DEWALT 5.0 Amp Hour Batteries
DEWALT introduces its highest capacity battery pack for EXTREME RUNTIME (XR). The 5.0 Ah lithium ion battery pack (DCB205) is a new addition to the line of DEWALT XR tools and batteries and is compatible with the entire line of DEWALT 20V MAX* tools.
The DCB205 supplies 25% more capacity than the DEWALT DCB204 4.0 Ah pack and is ideal for users of DEWALT 20V MAX* tools looking for increased runtime during cutting, drilling, and fastening applications.

The DCB205 remains lightweight at just 1.4 pounds (only 1 gram above the DCB204), and includes a 3-LED Fuel Gauge System that provides immediate feedback on the state of charge. When compared to the DCB200 (3.0 Ah) lithium ion battery, the new DCB205 battery pack provides 60% more battery capacity during applications.
The new DCB205 5.0 Ah battery pack is expected to retail for $139.00, will be available this spring where DEWALT products are sold, and will come standard with a 90-day money-back guarantee and a three-year free service contract. A select number of DEWALT cordless tool kits will be available with the DCB205 battery beginning in June 2014.
