Nailers & Staplers: Duo-Fast 250BN 16-gauge hardwood flooring finish nailer
Duo-Fast Floor Fastening Systems introduces the FloorMaster 250BN 16-Gauge Hardwood Flooring Finish Nailer. This addition to the Duo-Fast line of installation tools provides installers with a faster, more accurate way to perform blind and face nailing when installing hardwood flooring that is sure to increase user productivity.
“Duo-Fast engineers spent extensive time with hardwood installers nationwide and listened to what they wanted in a hardwood flooring installation tool,” said Rita Bockrath, Marketing Manager for Duo-Fast Floor Fastening Systems. “The result of this research is the FloorMaster™ 250BN, in effect, a nailer designed by hardwood installers for hardwood installers.”
The FloorMaster 250BN has a number of features that no other nailer has and make it best-in-class. These features include:
- A proprietary 45º detachable no-mar nailing guide, and no-mar pads, that not only protect floor, wall and cabinets from marring, scratching or denting, but makes for precise placement of every nail into the 45º pocket of the tongue when blind nailing.
- A proprietary depth-of-drive design, which helps to eliminate tongue splitting.
- A proprietary nail lock-out design that eliminates blank firing.
In addition, with the 250BN, blind nailing isn’t so blind due to a better line of sight than any other flooring finish nailer. This helps with the precise placement into the 45º pocket of the tongue. It also features bump fire actuation to further increase the installer’s productivity, and a 360º adjustable exhaust cap to keep exhaust out of the users face.
The FloorMaster 250BN uses 16-gauge finish nails, another key feature that installers wanted in their nailer. This leaves a smaller, less visible hole when face nailing but this nailer has the power to drive with ease into all wood types including denser exotics, such as Brazilian Cherry.
