Larson EPL-MPM-150LED-100 Explosion-proof LED Work Light

Larson Electronics has announced the release of a new pedestal mount LED work light equipped with four 200 pound grip magnets for temporary mounting.

The EPL-MPM-150LED-100 explosion proof LED light is Class 1 Division 1 & 2 and Class 2 Division 1 & 2 rated and is capable of illuminating up to 10,000 square feet of work space.

This LED work light produces a brilliant flood pattern of light that is ideal for illuminating enclosed areas and hazardous locations where flammable vapors, gases and dusts may be present.

It produces 13,000 lumens of light with a color temperature of 6000K and a color rendering index of 70, which produces colors and details much more accurately than high-pressure sodium or mercury vapor lamps.

This explosion proof LED work light is comprised of a 16 inch wide by 14 inch tall rectangle light head mounted within a pedestal base stand with a convenient carrying handle built into the top of the stand. The A-frame portable stand is constructed from non-sparking aluminum and powder coated for increased durability and corrosion resistance.

The lamp can be easily adjusted up or down 90° and locked into position by simply loosening the two hand screws located on either side of the light head and tightening them once the desired angle is found. The four 200 pound grip magnets provide 800 pounds of magnetic force allowing operators to attach this light tank walls and other metallic surfaces.

This light is universal voltage and operates on a range from 100 to 277 volts AC and includes 100’ of SOOW cable terminated in an optional cord cap for connection to corresponding receptacles. This portable work light is extremely rugged and ideal for use in classified environments where portable Class 1 Division 1 lighting is required.

“This explosion proof work light is the LED alternative to a 400 watt metal halide,” Rob Bresnahan with Larsonelectroncis.com said. “While maintaining the light output of a metal halide, this LED light will not produce as much heat and uses less power to operate.”
