Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has introduced T-Track Stops, accessories that are designed to work with the Rockler T-Track Table (46654, sold separately) and other T-Track devices. They can be used to hold a workpiece while performing tasks such as belt sanding, hand planing, or scraping dried glue.
Multiple stops can be used to "sandwich" a board, allowing the user to work in multiple directions without moving the board or the stops. The stops slide along the T-Track and can be tightened at the exact point on the track that best suits each project task.
The profile of the stops is less than 3/4" when secured on the table, leaving plenty of clearance for hand and power tools when working with 3/4" or thicker lumber.
"These T-Track Stops are quick and easy to use for a wide variety of work-holding applications," says Steve Krohmer, Rockler's Vice President of Product Marketing. "The fact that they leave plenty of clearance for the use of hand and power tools makes them invaluable for a wide array of projects."
Though T-Track Stops are specifically designed to work with the Rockler T-Track Table, they will also work with any T-Track that accepts 5/16" T-bolts. The stops are available in three varieties: Short, In-line, and Long. Short and In-line Stops measure 1-1/2" wide, while the Long Stops are 5" wide.
Each stop is made of machined aluminum and features a handle which is used to tighten the stop in place in its upright position, then flips down to remain out of the way while work is performed.
Short Stops (47482) and In-line Stops (43807) retail for $6.99 each, Long Stops (46010) for $12.99 each, and the Stop Kit (45091, which includes two Short and two In-line Stops) for $24.99.
