STAFDA Joins ISA on Haiti Relief Effort

The Specialty Tools & Fasteners Distributors Association (STAFDA) has teamed-up with the Industrial Supply Association (ISA) in assisting with the industry-wide relief effort in Haiti.

ISA member Derek Yurgaitis, Sorbent Products Company (SPC), Somerset, NJ and ISA/STAFDA member, Jessica Polychronis, Industrial Supply Co., Salt Lake City have organized an industry relief effort for the victims of the worst natural disaster to hit the Caribbean in more than 200 years.

The pipeline for getting goods from company locations to a central staging point for shipping to Haiti has been established. The island will need everything for rebuilding including construction/industrial supplies, fasteners, electrical equipment, hand tools, hammers, shovels, machine equipment, and safety related items.

The goal is to ship the first container of contributions by February 23. Supplies need to arrive by February 18 and may be sent to:

Please enclose a detailed packing list. Be sure to include your company contact information, if you are an ISA or STAFDA member, and the estimated value of your contribution. This information is very important for post-donation follow up. If information or instructions are available in French, please include them as well. The island uses the metric system and U.S. weights and measures.
