Long Beach approves $1.1B bridge replacement
$1.1 billion project is expected to employ 4,000 workers a year for five years.
Leaders in Long Beach, Calif., have approved port plans to replace the Gerald Desmond Bridge. The $1.1 billion project is expected to be complete within five to six years and will need about 4,000 construction workers a year during that time. Construction is slated to begin next year.
