CSDA Announces Fall 2012-Winter 2013 Training Dates

Courses to cover slab sawing, operator certification and core drilling.

The Concrete Sawing and Drilling Association (CSDA) is pleased to announce a range of dates and locations for its fall 2012-winter 2013 program.

Between October 2012 and February 2013, CSDA will hold six training classes in three locations across the United States. The association has hands-on, classroom and online courses for every discipline and skill level, allowing contractors to provide operators with superior training.

The 2012-2013 training schedule starts in Olathe, Kansas on October 11-12. The association will hold a Slab Sawing 101 class at the headquarters of Husqvarna Construction Products. This introductory, yet comprehensive class provides students with a strong foundation in slab sawing operations and industry fundamentals. The class is suitable for new or inexperienced operators, as well as other industry professionals looking to learn more about this cutting discipline.

In November, CSDA is offering a selection of Operator Certification courses for experienced operators who want to gain top-notch proficiency in any or all sawing and drilling disciplines. These classes include Slab Sawing & Drilling 201 on November 5-6, followed by Wall Sawing 201 on November 7-8 and Wire Sawing 201 on November 9-10. All classes will be held at CSDA’s training facility located at St Petersburg College in Clearwater, Florida.

In February 2013, the CSDA training program heads west to Las Vegas, Nevada and the annual World of Concrete trade show and exhibition. A Core Drilling 201 advanced certification class is scheduled for February 5-6, while a two-day CSDA Estimating class will be held February 6-7. Both classes will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center during the show.

Content for the Core Drilling 201 class will be split between the classroom and the slab, with students spending time at the outdoor exhibit booths of CSDA member companies to perform practical exercises.

The Estimating class will focus specifically on the practice of estimating sawing and drilling jobs and is taught by industry experts with real-world experience.

All classes have been scheduled to provide cutting contractors with choice and flexibility, allowing operators and employees to attend when companies can afford to send them. In addition, CSDA has an online training website consisting of 26 courses that are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week via www.csdatraining.com.
