Glove Connection Reports Record Sales in 2012
Sales of Cut Level 5 gloves grew 35 percent for year; company projects 50 percent category growth in 2013.
With a record-breaking year just under its belt and with U.S. personal protective equipment (PPE) sales to exceed $14.1 billion in 2013, the Western United State’s fastest-growing PPE developer and distributor, Glove Connection, anticipates robust growth for the coming year.
In 2012, Glove Connection experienced a 35 percent growth in the sales of Cut Level 5 products such as its Antzer Plus glove and Armory sleeve. Projections for 2013 see sales of high cut level products increasing substantially—by as much as 50 percent or more. Industries generating this growth in demand include solar energy, mining, construction, HVAC, electrical, drywall and glaziers.
“Companies are constantly challenged by the task of ensuring the health and protection of their staff,” says Drew Stevens, owner, Glove Connection. “Safety managers must not only do everything they can to avoid accidents, but also stay abreast of government safety regulations to avoid costly fines. That’s why when given a choice, they almost always opt for the superior protection offered by Cut Level five products.”
The company currently projects a record-breaking year, up 50 percent from 2011 and up 30 percent from 2008, its previous record-breaking year.
