Rockwell Extends Power Tool Warranty to Three Years

Extended warranty combines with Rockwell's Batteries for Life program.

Rockwell announces that it has extended the warranty on its products from two years to three years, provided that the customer registers the tool within 30 days of purchase. The expanded warranty firmly places Rockwell’s as one of the best in the industry today.

“The expanded warranty represents our commitment to the quality, durability and value of Rockwell power tools,” said Craig Taylor, Vice President of Marketing. “Keep in mind that in addition to our new three-year warranty, Rockwell also features the “Batteries For Life” program, which represents another win for consumers.”

Guidelines for Rockwell’s new three year tool warranty program include:

  • To receive a warranty extension from 2 to 3 years, customer must register the tool within 30 days of purchase.
  • During the first 30 days after date of purchase, user may exchange a tool which does not work properly due to defects in materials or workmanship by returning it to the place of purchase.
  • To receive a replacement power tool, present a dated proof of purchase (receipt) and return all original equipment packaged with the original product.
  • This warranty extension is valid on tools purchased on or after June 1, 2013.

Limited Three Year Warranty

  • Rockwell warrants that for a period of three years from the date of purchase, the product shall be free of defects in materials and workmanship.
  • Rockwell will repair or replace the tool during the warranty period, provided that the tool is sent postage prepaid with all original equipment and a dated proof of purchase (receipt).
  • If a replacement power tool is offered, it will be covered by a limited warranty for the balance of the three year period from the original purchase date.
