Pelican Promotes and Adds Team Members
Shailesh Bambardekar is named Vice President Of Operations - Torrance.
Pelican Products has appointed Shailesh Bambardekar as Vice President of Operations - Torrance.
"Shailesh’s steady and proactive leadership has been a guiding force through amazing growth and change for Pelican,” said John Padian, Chief Operating Officer, Pelican Products. “I am proud to welcome him to our executive team and look forward to working with him as we continue to take the company in bold new directions.”
As Vice President of Operations - Torrance, Shailesh Bambardekar brings more than 20 years of industrial management experience. In his new role, he will lead Pelican’s Torrance operations team and shape manufacturing strategy for the company’s next era of growth.
Prior to his promotion, he worked his way up to Director of Operations of Pelican’s Torrance plant / corporate headquarters where he oversaw all aspects of the daily manufacturing and facilities maintenance activities of nearly 500 employees.
Scott Nicholson named Vice President of Worldwide Quality
Pelican has also appointed Scott Nicholson as Vice President of Worldwide Quality.
As Vice President of Worldwide Quality, Scott Nicholson brings more than 20 years of industrial management experience. In his new role, he will lead and shape Pelican’s global quality assurance team while maintaining their legendarily tough product standards.
Prior to his promotion, Nicholson was Pelican’s Senior Director of Worldwide Quality and worked at the company for 10 years before that in various manufacturing engineering and quality management capacities.
He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technology and Management Science from the University of Bradford in England and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
Michael Garcen hired as Product Manager - Consumer Electronics
Pelican has also hired Michael Garcen as Product Manager - Consumer Electronics.
Bringing nearly 10 years of product management, sales and marketing experience to his new role, Garcen will be responsible for the growth, management and oversight of Pelican’s consumer electronics case lines.
In addition he will serve as the voice of Pelican’s customers while working directly with Pelican New Product Development, Marketing, Production, Quality Assurance and Sales to ensure successful product launches and a sustainable product roadmap.
Prior to joining Pelican, Garcen served in several product and sales management positions at companies such as Antec, Niveus Media, AVerMedia Information, Inc. and Missingremote.com. Most recently he held the role of Regional Product Manager – Mobility for Belkin, a leading portable electronics / computer accessory manufacturer.
Garcen holds a Bachelor’s Degree from University of California, San Diego in Communications.
